[new] Generationals - Medium Rarities EP (free download)

New Orleans sun-soaked indie rockers Generationals made some waves with their album Actor-Caster earlier this year via Park The Van, and now they're following that up with a free patchwork EP. Medium Rarities consists of a spacy new song "You Got Me," an alternate take on the album version of "Greenleaf," and two remixes. Stream and download it all using the widget below:

Generationals: Actor-Caster Out Now!

I got the following email from NOLA's own 60's-inspired indie pop band Generationals this morning:

Hi everyone,

Our new LP Actor-Caster is now available (links below), so we thought we would drop a line.

Ted and I spent most of last year working on this record and we're very proud of it. I think it's the
best thing we've done yet. (Here's a video of us actually working on it in the studio in DC last
summer, seems so long ago:

A few months ago we started a video collaboration with our friend Albert Birney who directed the video for "Ten-Twenty-Ten," the first single from Actor-Caster. We love this video, Albert did a fantastic job and we hope you like it too.

[new] The Generationals: Ten-Twenty-Ten

gens

Wow did we have an unreal showcase last night! Unfortunately Toro Y Moi had to cancel last minute due to illness, but nonetheless the show was nuts! Sun Airway, Cloud Nothings, Cults, and Small Black each brought a very unique sound to truly impress all in attendance at the Saturn Bar. Das Racist even came to show their support and dance a bit! We will have much more coverage on this, and everything Foburg in the coming few days. So check back!

For now we have something special for your ears! New Orleans's very own, The Generationals, have released a new track while on their way to South by Southwest. The song is called "Ten-Twenty-Ten." Once again they deliver a solid summery, indie-pop dance tune. I'll be listening to this all day. The best part... it's a FREE DOWNLOAD! Enjoy.

Love,
Aaron

The Generationals. RECAP

Generationals-3926

The Generationals are one of New Orleans quickest rising talents. They have blown up on the blogosphere, and the buzz certainly does not seem to be fading. They have been touring for some time, and it is in fact quit rare for the New Orleans natives to play in New Orleans. Last Friday we got a glimpse of what is bound to become a massive act. Their sound is incredible. A mix of a 50s or 60s thing with a modern indie twist is what I got. Its hard to pinpoint, but I couldn't recommend seeing them enough. Here are some photos from the show!
